Customer Review: What a surprise - it works!
I just received the perfect pod holster and gave it a try straight away. Thanks to the video review on Amazon’s website, I knew what technique to apply when inserting the coffee pod. There is also an article and pictures outlining out to use the holster at singleservercoffee’s website. For my test I used a pod from the Senseo Vienna Hazelnut Waltz Coffee Pods, 16-Count Packages (Pack of 4) on a Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System. The extraction was excellent and there were no grounds as occasionally noted by some reviewers. I can see how, without proper technique, that grounds could end up in the cup. The reason for the 4 stars - need better instructions so that users are ensured of a good experience. I don’t know about its longevity though and that would be my larger concern at this point in time. I just don’t know how many uses I should expect and I can see how the spring could turn into a failure point. Regarding seller As Seen On TV, the product arrived on time and with a packing slip. Not all of these sellers on Amazon provide packing slips which makes returning more challenging. Now to try the new Godiva Chocolate Crème Coffee Single Serve, Coffee Pods, 16 Count, 3.66 Ounce Bags (Pack of 3)!
Customer Review: I USE THE OTHER ACCESSORY WITH FILTER INSTEAD
I bought this Pod Holster product to switch from K-cups to reduce cost & also to avoid the K-cups due to the K-cup not being recyclable. The Pod Holster works ok, but due to problems with grounds in my cup (YES, I PUSHED THE SPRING IN TIGHTLY!),it really needs a fine mesh screen over the bottom. I decided to use my-already-purchased accessory with which you can put in coffee grounds of your own to make coffe, in place of the K-cups. I just popped in the small fine-mesh filter which came with the accessory called Keurig filter assembly, or just buy the baskets which are spares for the filter assembly, as you don’t need to snap out or replace the main bucket in the machine. The pod is squished into this filter just like the holster & avoids coffee grounds & is just as easy to throw away the used pod and rinse the filter, if necessary. If you do not have the other accessory and are considering the holster, I would just buy the accessory.
